Today is the very first step of developing my future. Being a part of an overpopulated school, sometimes it feels like I have a small voice in the midst of an overwhelming crowd. Throughout this blog I hope to develop and learn how to express my thoughts through writing.
I'm Aliyah Hayes, a ninth grade student and I'm working on a project called TEDx assigned by my pretty awesome teacher Mr.Shreffler. The whole goal of this assignment is to inspire students and encourage them to figure out what matters most to them.
I'm really passionate about traveling and exploring new things. It amazes me how there are millions of ways to travel. For example, it doesn't always have to be physically but it can be mentally as well. Reading a good book can take you to a whole new world, opening your eyes and expanding your imagination. Where as, Flying to different countries can introduce you to many cultures and give you a new perspective of the way you view life. There are many other ways to explore such as traveling through time, space and emotions. Yet none of them are greater than the other.
I like to think that the graveyard is probably one of the most wealthiest places on earth. You know, so many people die full of potential, but never had the courage to pursue their dreams.
My goal in life is to work in the medical field and to help families and children diagnosed with genetic disorders. I want people with disabilities to understand, that opportunities are limitless and they can accomplish any thing they set their mind to.
But most importantly everyone no matter who they are, is destined for a specific purpose. Some people make it farther than others only because they have the determination to go after their dreams and turn them into reality.
